The millionth Pole visited this paradise on earth in 2025. "It's already a holiday tradition"

Poles have fallen in love with the Adriatic. Croatia just recorded its millionth tourist from Poland, and it's only the end of August. Where does this enduring fascination with the country where mountains meet the azure sea come from?
According to official eVisitor data, by August 27, 2025, 1,022,071 Poles had visited Croatia , representing a 5.18% increase over the previous year . This symbolic milestone was crossed about a week earlier than in 2024.
Even more impressive is the number of overnight stays: 6,049,289 , a 3% increase compared to the previous year. This proves that we're not only enjoying our Adriatic vacations more often, but also staying longer.
Omiš – the Polish capital of DalmatiaWhile the Croatian map of attractions is incredibly rich, the Split-Dalmatia region consistently tops the Polish rankings. The real hit remains Omiš – a town nestled where steep mountains plunge directly into the turquoise waters. It's here that the magic that Poles can't resist is born: one day you can sail the Adriatic, the next you can conquer peaks, and in the evening you can get lost in narrow streets smelling of baked fish and lavender.

" Croatia has become almost a vacation tradition for many Poles. Year after year, we see them increasingly eager to return to places they already know and love, while also discovering new corners of the country," emphasized Małgorzata Kowalska , director of the Croatian National Tourist Board's representative office in Poland, in an interview with "Wiadomości Turystyczne."
According to her, it is not only the sea and sun that tempt Poles, but also the atmosphere of small towns, the hospitality of the locals, and the wealth of experiences – from bicycle escapades and cruises on the Adriatic to a feast for the senses in local taverns.
Over a million arrivals are no longer just a statistic – they're proof that Croatia has become practically a second, holiday home for Poles. It's a country where every trip tastes different, and memories come flooding back faster than we can unpack our suitcases.
